For foster children in California, each day presents new challenges. Many children are placed in care suddenly and must leave home with only the clothes on their backs. Others are relocated several times and must struggle to catch up in a new school. Foster families face the challenge of quickly replenishing all essential items, such as warm winter clothing, school supplies and shoes to fit growing feet.
That’s why Sleep Train founded the Sleep Train Foster Kids program. With community support and the help of non-profit foster child organizations, we can make a positive impact on the lives of foster children in California. Our support helps ensure that foster children have access to the essential items and little extras they need to thrive.
While the focus of our collection drives changes throughout the year, the Sleep Train Foster Kids program gladly continues to accept in-kind donations after a drive has ended.
In California, there are over 60,000 children living in foster care. You can help ensure that foster children have the essentials items they need to succeed by hosting your own Sleep Train Foster Kids donation drive. It’s an easy way to give back to your community while leaving the heavy lifting of planning and promotion to us!

Sleep Train knows, not everyone can be a foster parent, but anyone can help a foster child.™
